Using liquefied natural gas (LNG) including as motor fuel

Natural gas is a natural hydrocarbonic energy carrier, an alternative to oil. Like any energy carrier it has a number of advantages and disadvantages connected with its production and usage.

Speaking about advantages we mean natural gas in any state because LNG technology allows obtaining компримированный gas without using traditional compressor equipment.

NPO “Geliymash” works out and produces the equipment to obtain and use LNG

NPO “Geliymash” performs own research and experimental development to create new equipment for obtaining and using LNG, realizes works on its own production basis.

All types of works and equipment are covered for production, distribution and usage of LNG including cryogenic plants to produce LNG, КриоАЗС, filling equipment, cryogenic fuel tanks for LNG, and basic elements of technological equipment for LNG production.

Advantages of using natural gas

Advantages of using LNG are:

  • ecological compatibility in comparison with other types of hydrocarbon fuel;
  • economy in comparison with other types of hydrocarbon fuel;
  • effectiveness of usage in comparison with other types of hydrocarbon fuel;
  • the highest heating capacity in comparison with other types of hydrocarbon fuel;
  • possibility of gasification in some remote areas without pipeline;
  • possibility of producing compressed natural gas (CPG) without compressor equipment;
  • more natural gas in volume unit in comparison with compressing natural gas (to tree times more);
  • convenient storage in comparison with CPG;
  • convenient transporting and filling in comparison with CPG;
  • absence of vessels and aggregates working under high pressure;
  • possibility of producing LNG in the place of extraction and in GDS without using compressor equipment.

Cryogenic fuel tanks

NPO “Geliymash” has created and produced a dimension-type number of cryogenic fuel tanks with capacity of 100 and 300 liters under pressure of 0.5 – 1.6 MPa. The tanks are used for providing engines of different construction and producers with methane.

Cryogenic fuel tank is high-technology product. It is a horizontal two-walled Dewar bottle with high-vacuum multilayer insulation, pipelines, cold reinforcement, regulating and protecting devices.

JSC NPO “Geliymash” is a participant of regional gas projects

  • Moscow: Goal-oriented program of using alternative types of fuel in motor transport;
  • Yekaterinburg: Creating production capacity of LNG production to 75 tons per day;
  • Stavropol Territory: Working out technological processes of LNG production in deposits with abnormal low formation pressure.
